Hidden Letter Reveals A–Z
Find little A's. Colour their squares. Watch a big A appear.

A good starting pointFor children beginning to recognise capital letters and follow a find-and-colour instruction. Age is a guide; choose tasks by readiness.
The finished picture is the same letter your child is searching for. On the A page, every A square contributes to a large block A, giving the letter hunt a visible purpose.
The grid combines matching with careful colouring. It is a letter-recognition activity rather than a test of reading words. Use a familiar letter first, and let the reveal emerge at your child's pace instead of copying the speed of the demonstration.

How to use this activity
Name the small target
Point to the capital letter at the top. Find one identical letter in the grid together so your child knows exactly what to search for.
Colour the whole square
Fill each matching-letter cell, leaving other cells white. One colour is enough. Colouring only the tiny printed letter will not create the same visible reveal.
Look at the big result
Pause after several matches and look at the emerging outline. Continue checking the grid for matching letters that have not yet been coloured.
Try the smaller tasks
Trace the letter and circle its match. Name the picture together; a grown-up can introduce an unfamiliar picture word.
Make it fit your child
A gentler start
Point to two candidate squares and ask which matches. Colour a small part together and return to the page later.
Ready for another step?
Ask your child to explain which features distinguish the target from a similar letter. Try another familiar letter with less pointing support.

Printing and using the pages
Download the PDF, open it in a PDF viewer and choose A4 paper at 100% or “actual size”. Print only the pages you want to use. Check the preview before printing; keep colour cues visible when a selected task depends on them.
Regular paper works for the worksheets. For reusable loose cards, light card can be easier to handle if your printer supports it. Keep any cutout pieces at the printed scale so they fit their mat. A grown-up should handle preparation and cutting.
These original BundleBrain pages are free for personal and classroom use. Share a link to this activity page so other families can find the instructions and download their own copy. Please do not resell or re-upload the PDF.
Good to know
A couple of questions
Is this uppercase and lowercase practice?
The reveal grids in this pack use capital letters. Feed the Letter Monsters adds uppercase–lowercase matching.
Does the crayon colour matter?
Any colour works. The large letter comes from the positions of the matching squares, not a colour code.
